Quilting in January
I started two new projects in January. The 2nd project was a challenge by Taryn @reproquiltlover in 2023. I took this pic and then realized I wanted the blocks on point so today I did this… Of course I worked on my other projects as well. 3 blocks were already done. I made two more…

It’s December!
I’ve done a good job this year of finishing the tops on WIP. I would love to finish this one. It was a Babes exchange from many years ago. I made the pineapple block. It was a very fun block to make. With Melva’s I would need to buy yardage. With Sharyn’s I would just…

Giving Thanks

Nine is getting a back
I have this concept in my head for the back of the nine-patch quilt. One large butterfly with the center being leftover or extra blocks I made and didn’t need for the top. #quilting #quiltingismytherapy #thrifting To see the top check out the previous post.

Nine has a finished top
…. And I love it!!!!! Top finished Saturday Oct. 7,2023. There are 1733 nine-patches that finish each at 1 1/2”. I unknowingly or even without concern made 4 extra block sets. That made an instant decision for me to make a pieced top. This is where I am at today. It’s a lovely Autumn day.…

August
I challenged myself to use as many “new to me” fabrics in this block. It took 6 days to finish this block. Our hibiscus had over 100 flowers this summer. It loved this hot weather. This rose bush also loved the heat. I have 4 more blocks to make for this quilt. I may get…

Happy 4th of July
We ate the past two nights out in the gazebo. I made the two pillow covers earlier in the day from a pre sewn piece of fabric. #quilt #4thofJuly #redwhiteblue #tablerunner
